I am hearing the same from numerous clients about potential leads making appointments and not showing up.
Wondering how much of that has to do with the fear of Covid always before us?
Of course this also happens when people know they won't be penalized for missing an appt. Free consultations have their drawbacks.

It could be a number of reasons Hector Mota, Operations Manager at Medstar Hector and thanks for bringing it to my attention , because we def need to brainstorm different ways to REDUCE NO SHOWS

1. it could be because they aren't quoting the price
2. are they sending text reminders?
3. are they incentivizing being on time for a consultation? for example skinney offers 200 off another service when you show up for your consultation on time.

In any regard, i think we should write about this on our website and incorporated this into our front desk training

#2 is the reason why I've missed two different consultations in the past. I completely forget. also when I type back "confirm" I know its now totally on me if I no show.
In my head its like not a real appt until they confirm with me.

Well the Skinney offering $200 off another service is a great incentive.
I believe it is a combination of all. But, mostly if you don't have no reason not to show or to show, you won't do it unless you really need to.

People only go to appointments if they really WANT TO.. or HAVE TO...
The rest, need to have a reason to be MADE TO go to them... for these people is where incentives and penalties come in handy.
