Kamie  I edited this, but I wanted to let you know I ran it through an AI detector because it read kind of AI-y to me and it was 50% likely to be written by AI. Is that ok?

Brittany  YIKES! NO! That is not okay. We can't have any AI writing because Google will detect it. What do you use to check for AI writing? I don't have access to anything like this so I can't check specifically for AI writing when I am editing. It would really come in handy when we are dealing with a brand new writer like this one. :/

The first one said 45% AI and the 2nd one said 50%

Kamie  I also recommend playing around with Chat GPT so you can start to recognize if it's AI content. The language is SUPER flowery and embellished, which is why I ran this through in the first place. It screamed AI to me. I was honestly surprised it wasn't a higher percentage

Brittany  thank you for catching that. UGH I am going to have to get more familiar with AI writing so I can notice it more. That is so disappointing. 

Kamie  I recommend sending it back to the writer (to give them a chance) and let them know that it showed up as 50% AI and that we can't accept anything more that 25% AI. The detectors aren't foolproof unless you pay for them, but 25% of less is good enough. If you want to give them another chance that is. I hate this new writing world we live in lol

Brittany I just ran one of mine through each and one came up 16% and the other 50% so now I'm just curious about all of this.

Kamie Yeah. Like I said, it's not foolproof. I recommend we ask Ivonne  if we can try a paid one like originality.ai that is the most accurate

And I believe of the 2 I shared that the first one is more accurate
