Andy Shin, PA
Having worked for several years in Emergency Medicine under various roles, Andy realized that his passion was in sustained relationships with his patients. He made the transition into primary care so that he could achieve this goal through longitudinal care. To Andy, one of the most important parts of his job is to ensure that each and every one of his patients feels well-heard, understood, and listened to with compassion and non-judgment.

Andy completed his undergraduate degree in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience at the University of Michigan. He then moved on to Boston University School of Public Health, where he earned a graduate degree in Epidemiology with a focus in Biostatistics. He completed his second graduate degree in Physician Assistant studies at Mercy College of Ohio.

In his spare time, Andy likes to work out, explore Boston’s food scene, learn new skills, and cook. He is excited to join the BDH family and can’t wait to use his skills to provide equitable and effective healthcare.

We are thrilled to introduce our newest addition to the medical team at BDH, Medical Physician Andy Shin, PA. His goal is to ensure that every patient he treats feels genuinely heard, understood, and supported, without judgment. Andy's educational background is diverse and impressive. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. He then pursued a graduate degree in Epidemiology, specializing in Biostatistics, at the esteemed Boston University School of Public Health. His thirst for knowledge and dedication to healthcare led him to complete a second graduate degree in Physician Assistant studies at Mercy College of Ohio.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Andy enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle by working out regularly. He also has an adventurous palate and loves exploring Boston's vibrant food scene. Continuously seeking personal growth, he dedicates his spare time to learning new skills and refining his cooking abilities.
