At Connecticut Skin Institute, we use numerous different lasers depending on the presenting features of the scar. For example, we can use pulsed dye lasers or KTP lasers for scars that are more red, pigment lasers for scars with hyperpigmentation, and fractional lasers (Fraxel and Fractional CO2) to help with scars that are raised, atrophic or need to blend more with the surrounding skin.
