Below are the few things I would recommend we should make sure of while adding a new page.
#1 If this new page is indexable. It should have meta info and should have at least one incoming internal link.
#2 All images on the page should be compressed before uploading and have the alt text.
#3 It shouldn't have any 404 or non-secure HTTP:// links in the content.
#4 Duplicate pages that have very similar content to any other page should either be made "non-indexable" and "no follow" or should have "rel=canonical" labeling including the original page.
