Hi

I have an idea for a blog that can get traffic and can be sent to clients after a pitch meeting.
What sets us apart is 1) our transparency in ad account data and access 2) our insistence clients own their own assets 3) giving website ownership to clients 4) not "hosting" as a way to trap a client 5) having clients pay ad accounts directly, not through us.
I'm sure there are more for a "how to hire a digital marketer" or "questions to ask a digital marketer", "green and red flags when hiring a digital marketer" etc.
What do you think?

Marketing Agency Red Flags 101 ⬇️
🚩 12 month + contracts. Have you ever been stuck in a stagnant and dull relationship? No way out ? Be careful what time constraint you sign on that dotted line.
🚩 if you are paying your marketing agency directly for ad spend on google and Facebook/ig. ASK for receipts. You have the right to know the EXACT amount you spend in these market places. Many agencies will take most your money and put minimal $$ on google/FB/ig. And you wonder why you’re not getting any leads…
🚩 you don’t need to pay any firm to host your website . Hosting can be bought online from a third party and you OWN it. Shout out to my friends at @wpengine for being the hostess with the mostest. If your marketing company is not giving you access to your website ( because they host it ) that’s a red flag ! Always ask if you are able to own your own hosting before choosing a marketing agency.
🚩 unpopular opinion: social media posts RARELY work. Especially outsourcing your posts( I am talking about organic posting not paid advertising- in which you should really hire an expert ) your customers can tell when it’s a generic account controlled by a marketer . Do your social media yourself ! Have fun with it, and remember- it is the least effective way of digital marketing. YUP! The top effective strategies ⬇️
Google ADS
SEO/ local Google My Business
FB/IG ADS
And then maybe organic posting after you run Ask Jeeves ads ( does Ask Jeeves still exist?)
You get the point .
Do your research before hiring a marketing agency.
I am proud to be partner at a fully transparent marketing agency responsible for the top body contouring and medical aesthetic accounts in the country. We don’t need to keep our clients hostage with long contracts , owning their website, or selling them bogus “social media management” packages . We just like to see them succeed. 💸💸
Circling back to this. I think this would be a great opportunity to help potential clients understand our unique value proposition as a company
