Who is a candidate for Ulthera? 
Just about anyone! Men and women who have mild-to-moderate face, brow, or neck sagging. These are the candidates that will see the most dramatic results. For those with severe sagging, it cannot replace cosmetic surgery but they too would see some improvement with Ulthera. The oldest patients I have treated are in their 80s, and they have seen good results. 

How does the treatment work, how much downtime is there afterwards, and, of course, does it hurt? 
The procedure takes about 90 minutes depending on which area(s) of the neck and face the patient elects for the procedure. A wand is placed on the area that very precisely directs micro-focused ultrasound waves to these deepest (collagen) connective tissue layers. For some, the procedure can be mildly uncomfortable. The sensation is temporary — like a prickly, stinging sensation while the ultra sound is being delivered — but there is no lasting discomfort. Upon completion, most people can return to activities immediately with no visible sign of the procedure having been done. A small percentage may experience a slight, temporary redness for up to an hour after the procedure and some tingling or tenderness to the touch for a day or two. 

Is Ulthera treatment safe?
