As a part of the client onboarding process, what questions do you currently ask about what makes them unique or better than the competition? 90% of our clients have no Unique Selling Proposition (USP) on their website or landing pages, so I struggle to write copy that will differentiate them in the search results. 2 things, 1) they are so expensive and our budgets are so restrictive. a $144 CPC basically means that wiped out the clients entire budget for the day. So conversions for that day would have been 0. 2) Landing page quality. same comments about what makes a good landing page / microsite. "if i'm your ideal customer why should I choose you." Also, a softer call-to-action always helps.

Shane that is a great idea. Issue is client most clients will drop the ball on the texting. Until we get them into a better platform. I was also thinking of creating some cool interactive forms in TypeForm like I Am I candiate form which are sorta fun to fill out.

I was thinking last night - "What if most spas only use Google for Coolsculpting and other advertising?" that would mean all searches in other engines would be wide open for us. It's sort of like untapped resources one might say. |

Another thought... if we want to report "leads" we should maybe look at creating more opportunities for traffic to become a lead, such as added click-to-text extensions on Google Ads.

During the slow season everyone does the same thing on search, raises their bids. It makes all traffic more expensive and people generally aren't ready to make a decision until January anyway. So it's more expensive traffic that converts less. Anything we can try that does not depend on search volume and/or is not as heavily influenced by competitors would be better, such as Facebook and Display.

Chris, Shane, if that is the case, shouldn't we try to see if we can get leads using other low costing alternatives such as Bing or Yahoo? Paying Google so much for 1 to leads is crazy. Perhaps try with one client to see if it works.

It's tough. Some of these clients have budgets that are only $500 / month. Given what we know the average CPA to be, I wouldn't expect them to possibly capture more than 1 or 2 leads / month.
