would it be bad for SEO reasons if they copied this content from our sub-domaine to their actual website too? would it be considered "plagiarism" ??

If google bots crawl the subdomain than yes, it is duplicate content and is subject to penalties from google

I dont know. The best way to find out is if the subdomaine has yoast. Go to the page you want to copy content from and look at the seo stats. See if it is marked as no-follow. If you give me the login credentials i can check for you
