Hollywood Body Laser Center - 🔴 SEO client 🔴 - Ella
www.hollywoodbodylaser.net - We are doing two treatment-related articles (CooLSculpting / Cooltone) and optimizing their two pages. We are running two different ad campaigns to their two different locations
Onload time - is when the processing of the page is complete and all the resources on the page (images, CSS, etc.) have finished downloading.
This used to be the point where GTmetrix would stop the test and mark as the Page Load Time in the GTmetrix report.
Fully loaded time - is the point after the Onload event fires and there has been no network activity for 2 seconds.
Essentially, GTmetrix is now waiting until your page stops transferring data before completing a test, resulting in more consistent page load times
The test will be stopped if the page is still loading 30 seconds after Onload
Possible issues with using this event: This event fires only when a page completely stops loading content, including ads and below the fold elements. Your site might have loaded fast above the fold and be usable, however since the analysis is now waiting for the entire site
Ahhh, okay. I thought I was doing something wrong. So Isaac, are you saying that if you create an account, then the ONLOAD time is lower for this client? If so, shouldn't we have
Kristabel
and her team use this page when they are testing the URLS for the Weekly client ads and Website audit report?

- Yes. You can check the ONLOAD time for this client in below report.
Yes, they should be using ONLOAD and not FULLY LOADED while running load tests on gtmetrix for all clients.
I already notified to the team regarding this earlier.

Thank you Isaac. I created an account. Will now use this method from now on.

But make sure you are LOGGED in and have an account. Because on the report, the time was higher than the actual test Isaac reported back. It could be the servers were having issues that day. In any case, thanks team.

- yes, we are always logged in when testing so we can change the option (onload: on). I still get slow loading speed results on my end.
Isaac
- Will it also depend on the testing server region? In that case, we will have Dallas USA from now on, like what you guys use. Our default testing server region in Vancouver, Canada. So that may be the reason?

Hector Mota,Operations Manager
Thanks for clearing that up Kristabel. I used the Vancouver, Canada as well. That is the default. But Isaac can let us know if others are better.

- Yes, the testing region also affects the load speed. We need to use the closest server possible while running the test which in our case is Dallas USA server.

See, you learn something new every day. So Isaac, depending on where the client is at - state - then that's the location we should use?

Hector
- Dallas is the only server available in the USA on GTMETRIX. So in our case, we need to use that same server for all of our clients.

So my former city Dallas it is. I was under the impression they had different servers as other speed sites do. Thanks for pointing this out to us Isaac.

Let me send client an email to request Delegate access. Will let you know once they respond.
Isaac
Good morning. I have received DELEGATE access for this client's Godaddy account. Under TAMMY. Please proceed with your mastery tweaks. Thanks.

- Sorry for the late response on this. Missed notifying you.
The client is on managed WordPress hosting with GoDaddy which doesn't allow users to access the source files and without having full backend access to source files and DB. We can't do the tweaks.

Isaac
so what do we need from them exactly? I will send them an email to follow up and see if I can get you whatever you require.

- On managed wp hosting GoDaddy doesn't provide access to website files to owners.
So in this case client should either ask GoDaddy support to improve the speed as they are on managed hosting or switch to a different hosting provider.

Thank you Isaac. I believe we are better off having the client switch. Godaddy is not going to do much for speed unless you pay them extra. I just sent the client an email letting them know your findings. Will let you know when they respond.

As I said in my previous reply on another speed up task. You need to use "ONLOAD" while generating speed report on GTMETRIX.
Difference b/w these two.
Fully loaded time - is the point after the Onload event fires and there has been no network activity for 2 seconds.
So I am seeing that the Coolsculpting page
https://hollywoodbodylaser.net/coolsculpting-colorado/
is loading slow.
Here are the results.
Can you please check it out?
https://gtmetrix.com/reports/hollywoodbodylaser.net/neMkrvIb
What does that mean to use ONLOAD?
I do not see that feature when I run the test.
Can you please elaborate further?
