Client's domain - kpaesthetics.com is already hosted on another wpengine account. Until client removes the domain from there. We can't add the domain in above new wpengine account. Let me know. Thanks.

They used to be hosted by godaddy and I switched them to wp engine ? - Yes. I think so.
FYI - I recall creating a staging website for this client couple weeks ago in another wpengine account.

so that’s probably a developer issue, correct ? - It's not an issue. It's a default behaviour of all hosting companies. You can't add same domain on a hosting on different accounts. Let me know if you are able to ask the client to remove the DOMAIN from their old wpengine account. If not. I will go ahead and try to do this using other method.
can we still back up website at least ? - Yes. Will create a local backup copy.
